Omega gets tick for making time for unemployed youth

Omega Therapies is making a wonderful contribution in transforming the lives of young, unemployed Redditch jobseekers.

Run by Joe Baker, Omega Therapies' mission is to promote better understanding in regard to health and accountability, particularly for people on low incomes.

Joe said it gives him a great deal of satisfaction to work with young disadvantaged people.

"It's always a joy to be able to write a good reference and to see a young kid enter fulltime employment," Joe said.

Sarina Russo Job Access recently placed Carl at Omega Therapies.

Carl has various qualifications in sport and leisure but really struggled through school with his literacy and finds it difficult and frustrating to sit at a computer for long periods.

At Carl's interview, Joe felt that he had the natural ability to work in the health sector. He was offered, free of charge, the opportunity to be taught a £600 Massage and Reflexology to compliment and enhance his existing sports qualifications.

Carl worked hard and made a positive impression at his placement and with his extra skills he has a real chance to find employment in the growing but highly specialised health and well-being sector.
