Jobs campaign reaches 600 goal early – sets sights on 750

630 local West Midlands jobs have got jobs as a result of a community jobs campaign according to Mark Berlese, Manager of Sarina Russo Job Access.

Mr Berlese said the 'Jobs for a Better Community - 600 jobs in 100 days' has been so successful we have set our sights on securing 750 jobs by the end of the 100 day campaign.

"Sarina Russo Job Access put a lot of energy into marketing the skills of our jobseekers directly to local employers.

"In a tough economy it is pleasing so many local employers participated in the jobs campaign and many more are considering taking on new staff in the future.

"The overriding message we received from employers is they are looking for staff with the right attitude to work.

"Skills and processes can be taught on-the-job, but the right attitude is a wonderful commodity for jobseekers to possess.

"In such a competitive jobs market it is vital for Sarina Russo Job Access to develop our jobseeker's soft skills, particularly interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

"We are continuing to encourage local employers needing staff to contact Sarina Russo Job Access and help us in our goal of 750 jobs in 100 days, Mr Berlese said.
