‘How to Get that Job’ session – The perfect training ground for National Children’s Bureau

Sarina Russo Job Access and the National Children's Bureau have joined forces to offer at risk youth an exclusive one month 'How to get that Job' skills development training course thanks to the foresight of Sarina Russo Job Access Islington's business manager Joanna Jenkins.

The National Children's Bureau supports children, young people and families and the "How To Get That Job" training course is specifically designed to help them become job-ready with job search advice, CV preparation, cold calling and interview techniques.

Sarina Russo Job Access' Deputy Business Manager, John Iosco said personal marketing and branding strategies are promoted to help jobseekers understand the importance of effectively selling their abilities during an interview.

"To get the jobseekers into a creative zone we posed the question "What can of soup are you?" John said.

Course attendee, Marcus Shakes, who has experience in IT consulting said he didn't realise he needed to develop his personal marketing skills

"With my lack of interview success to date, knowing how to sell myself makes a lot of sense," he said.

Sarina Russo Job Access will run the course twice a month in conjunction with the National Children's Bureau until June 2011.
